Students in the residential format take all or most of their courses in person and have the opportunity to engage often with each other and with MSL faculty. They participate actively in the life of the law school, attending events, participating in student organizations and clubs, and enjoying everything Chicago has to offer.

Bring Northwestern Law To You

The online MSL program is part-time and can be completed in two to four years. Students in the online format receive the exact same degree as students in the residential format and the requirements and structure of the curriculum are the same. Our online courses incorporate a combination of synchronous and asynchronous activities, including regular engagement with instructors and peers.
